Manufacturing and Maintenance Technician

BURN designs, locally manufactures, and distributes aspirational high quality fuel-efficient cooking products that save lives and forests in Kenya. We are looking for a Manufacturing and Maintenance Technician to manage and have overall responsibility for maintenance on production tools, equipment and infrastructure in our factory in Ruiru.

 Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and have overall responsibility for maintenance on production tools, equipment and infrastructure
  • Conduct jigs and fixtures, maintenance and storage
  • Responsible for ensuring the production line tools, equipment and infrastructure are functioning well including managing a maintenance plan and maintaining an appropriate level of spares
  • Providing training and leadership to ensure mechanical assistant(s) have guidance and ability to conduct maintenance on production tools, equipment and infrastructure
  • Provide training to line operators as needed
  • Ensure a safe and organized shop workspace
  • Always act as a positive representative of the company and consider environmental implications in the factor



  • Mechanical Background. Technician for at least 3 Years
  • Experience with Sheet Metal work machines including Jigs and Fixture, spot welders
  • A good communicator
  • A team player
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
