BURN Sells its 600,000th Life Saving Stove!

Join us in celebrating our latest sales milestone. Our stoves are improving 3 million lives, helping customers save $173 million in fuel costs and reducing CO2 by 1.9 million tonnes!

“I can go with this stove anywhere, unlike the three-stone fire, which you cannot light on the ground as it can be blown by the wind and maybe burn the grass. There is no harm with this stove because it has no smoke, it cannot pollute the environment.”

Rose, Kiambu County

Read Rose’s testimonial, and the testimonials of other women and men from across rural Kenya on how BURN’s revolutionary firewood stove - the Kuniokoa - is transforming their lives. Read the full UNF report here

The BURN Revolution Goes Global!

The Jikokoa juggernaut continues reaching to all corners of the world. The Jikokoa Classic and the Jikokoa Xtra have been sold on 5 continents and more than 20 countries!
Contact our global sales team if you are interested in becoming a distributor:

One Acre Fund will exclusively sell BURN's Kuniokoa to its network of 500,000 farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa.

BURN’s Kuniokoa is the world’s most fuel-efficient rocket stove, using 31% less fuel and producing 71% less PM2.5 than any other

rocket stove.

The project has kicked off with One Acre Fund farmer’s purchasing thousands of stoves in rural Kenya.

Factory Expansion

In April, BURN added 1,200 m2/12,000

ft2 to our solar-powered cookstove manufacturing facility in Kenya. This investment will allow BURN to expand to 7 production lines increasing the capacity to 75,000 stoves per month. It will also house our 16-person New Product Development team, who are hard at work developing the next generation of biomass and non- biomass cookstoves.

BURN is pleased to have been selected by the Clean Cooking Alliance to receive financial support through the Spark+ program. The funds will support BURN’s expansion efforts throughout 2019 and help bring its award-winning clean cooking technology to new markets across Sub-Saharan Africa, Southern Asia, and Central America.

BURN will use the funds to conduct in-country market assessments, launch new partnerships with key distributors, establish trial sales and carry out extensive market research with the aim to establish a foundation which it can build upon in 2020 and beyond.

“We are proud to operate the only modern cookstove manufacturing facility in Sub-Saharan Africa, so we were delighted to support this promo for ‘Brand Kenya’ - the new official symbol for products manufactured entirely in Kenya.”
